About Us
We are Michele & Gina, the faces behind our brand Herringbone & Plaid. Having been friends for over 15 years, we both enjoy many of the same hobbies and interests, as well as sharing a mutual love for walking our beloved dogs Noodle & Bolly. With Gina's expert accounting skills and Michele's passion for selling - together we are the perfect match!
The concept for our carefully curated collection of throws, blankets and scarves came to fruition after spending a weekend visiting a London trade fair. We were both instinctively drawn towards the natural fibres of wool, cashmere, mohair and cotton. So having discovered some wonderful suppliers, we decided to create our own collection of ethically sourced and sustainably made products. Our only condition ~ that they be made from natural fibres and pass the "face test"!
We have expanded our business to include a complementary range of beautiful products; from practical XL cotton waffle throws to rainbow coloured Shetland and Merino wool throws all sourced in the UK; from our deliciously soft alpaca throws to smaller accessories like scarves, bed socks and wrist warmers. We've even embarked on a new venture - a luxurious range of pure cashmere wraps embellished with crystals, designed by us and made by one of our lovely family run suppliers in Nepal. The first shipment was so successful that we immediately expanded the number of designs and colour ways and have recently produced a more summery version in vibrant colours with double asymmetric stripes.
